Introducing RecycledSurf.com

Written by Dustin Bryson

Every once in awhile we get some ants in our pants and we create something just to create.  That is partially the case with our new online surf shop Recycled Surf.  After spending a combined billion hours looking through all the knick knacks on Craigslist we decided to create a site that specialized in just one product, used surf boards.  We had a quick brain storming session & got to work & in a few days the site was up & functioning.  We have a few kinks to work out but if you have a surf, skim or kite board for sale, throw it up on the site for FREE.  We are also interested in feedback on how we can make the site better so fire those off to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. 3D Product Comps

Written by Chris Merriam

Being a designer, I feel rewarded for my efforts when I get to hold the product in my hand after production. A 3D comp can sometimes pacify that craving. These Lemi Shine comps are of the new 12oz bottle with shrink sleeve labeling.

Brock Get's Creepy

Written by Chris Merriam

Brock Pest Control owner Tim Brock asked us to create his new billboards & phone book ads. Our very own Eric Darnell had a good time daydreaming about his days scorching bugs with a magnifying glass as a lad. It was in a moment of total clarity that E Rock sat up at his desk and said "I've got it", "Let's face it, bugs are just creepy!" That they are Eric, that they are.

Oopsie Daisy

Written by Dustin Bryson

We build websites by the gross and we usually wouldn't describe the build out process as "whimsical". However our latest website has been a lot of fun because of all the little people we have had running around the studio. Oopsie Daisy Boutique has tapped us to create a new branding package and website for them and we couldn't be more excited. We are four shoots in and all of our models have been so much fun to work with. Stay tuned for a sneak peak at the site and possibly a discount code for some kids clothes!

Your mission statement is a lie

Written by Chris Merriam

Mission statements are often bull$#it. Let's get real here for a moment; a mission statement is merely a goal of what a company wants to become. If your mission statement begins with the phrase "we strive to"... this basically says to me that you're going to try to... but you might not. In stead of writing a mission statement, develop a company philosophy based on who your company is today; not what you want your company to become tomorrow.

At FreshInk, 'we do good things' has become a general company philosophy. We do good things in the design world. We do good things in our community. We do good things for the people we work with. We do good things for the environment. We even do good things for our compeditors.
